Materials needed:
Size "G" Crochet Hook
White Red Heart Worsted Weight Yarn
Deep Violet 7730 Caron Perfect Match Yarn
Lemonade 9606 Caron BRITES Yarn (Very small Amount)
OFFRAY Satin ribbon in Violet and Green
OFFRAY Satin ribbon embellishments to match
DMC Floss in Violet to match
Latch Hook
Susan Bates Trim Tool or thick cardboard (For Mane and tail)
Unflavored wax dental floss
5MM animal eyes
NOTE:
Do not join rounds unless otherwise states. Mark first st of each rnd.
Instructions:
Head
With white and size "G" crochet hook
Rnd 1. Ch2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2. 2 sc in each st around.
Rnd 3-7. Sc in each st around
Rnd 8. SC in each of the first 3 sts; for
TOP OF HEAD,
2 sc in each of the next 6sts, sc in each of last 3 sts.
Rnd 9: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 10. Sc in first 6 sts, 2 sc in each of next 6sc, sc in last 6 sc.

Horn
With Lemonade Caron Brites Yarn and "G" Hook
Rnd 1. Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnds 2-4. Sc in each st around. At end of last rnd, leaving 8" for sewing. Fasten off.
Sew to top of head centered over rnds 11 & 12
Ear (Make 2)
With White Red Heart and "G" hook.
Ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, 3 sc in end ch; working on opposite side of ch, sc in each of the
next 2 ch, join with sl st in first sc.
Leave 8 " tail for sewing, fasten off.
Attach ears to rnd 14 of head with 1 3/4" between them.
Neck
With White Red Heart and "G" hook.
Rnd 1. Ch 18, st st in first ch to form ring, sc in each ch around.
Rnds 2-6. Sc in each st around
Rnds 7-8. Sl st in first 9 sts, sc in last 9 sts. at end of last round fasten off, stuff.
Sew rnd 8 to bottom of head over rnds 10-15 with st sts of rnd 8 on rnd 10
Body
With White Red Heart and "G" hook.
Rnd 1. Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2. 2 sc in each st around
Rnd 3. *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* Repeat * around
Rnd 4. *Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* Repeat * around
Rnds 5-14. Sc in each st around
Rnd 15. Sc in first 6 sts; for TOP OF BODY, 2 sc in each of the next 12 sts, sc in last 6 sts.
Rnds 16-19. Sc in each st around

Foot and Leg (Make 4)
Starting with Deep Violet Caron Perfect Match and "G" Hook
Rnd 1. Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook
Rnd 2. 2 sc in each st around
Rnd 3. *Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* Repeat * around
Rnd 4. Working this round in back loops, sc in each st around.
Rnd 5-6. WITH WHITE SC in each st around
Rnd 7. *Sc in next st, sc next 2 sts tog* Repeat * around
Rnds 8-20. Sc in each st around. Stuff
Rnd 21. *Sc next 2 sts tog* around. Fasten off.
Mane
Using Susan Bates trim tool (or 3 in. tall piece of heavy cardboard) wrap deep violet Caron Perfect Match yarn
and cut. Using 2 strands of yarn and latch hook, fringe 3 sts on the row directly behind the horn, centering it
using the ears as a guide. Repeat between each rnd down center of head and neck
Tail
Using Susan Bates trim tool (or 4 in. tall piece of heavy cardboard) wrap until thickness desired deep violet
Caron Perfect Match yarn and cut only only one side. Gather uncut side and tie with a 6 inch piece of yarn Tie
tail to top of body between rnds 22-23.
Attaching legs.
Take yarn needle and long piece of waxed dental floss. Thread the needle.
attach arms by entering in one joint, exiting out the other and catching the leg and re-entering body and back
out where you started, catching other leg, then TIE VERY TIGHTLY and make at least 3 tight knots. If they
are too loose to hold position you need to tie more tightly

Decorating
Glue two 5mm eyes on 8th rnd of head (Start counting from nose) with 5 sts between them.
With DMC floss, make nostrils on 3rd rnd of nose and eyebrows just above eyes.
Use the Satin ribbon and Satin ribbon embellishments to decorate the head using the photo as a guide.
I also cut lengths of Satin ribbon and tied them on the tail to conceal where they had been tied, and added an
embellishment to the top of the tail.
